What We Do

The Way began in 2023. We invited about 60 kids from a local after school program, in a small Vila in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to attend a Zoom bible study. Our first meeting was 5 young people. Almost four years later, about 21 kids are part of the group, studying God’s word together, memorizing Scripture, doing life together and learning to be followers of Jesus.

Every Saturday kids from the Vila gather in a volunteer's living room for bible study, led by founders Nathan and Fabiana Krey, from Englewood, FL (USA). ***Soon we are moving to a new, larger location, just a few houses down the street. The bible study is translated from English to Brazilian Portuguese in real time by Fabi. Several local volunteers help set up meetings, transport kids, lead crafts and games and make lunch.

After year one, we added an English program called Mango. Kids have individual accounts and progress at their own pace. We are building a small library and encourage the kids to read books like C.S. Lewis’s, Chronicles of Narnia. The newest program addition is guitar class. A local instructor teaches chords and basic music theory right after the bible study.  The Way Global encourages kids in the group to find new hobbies and learn new skills. It is such a joy to see them grow and to watch God’s Word transform their lives.
