What We Do?
A typical Saturday at The Way Global in Porto Alegre looks like this:
- Bible study
- Lunch break and games
- Guitar class
- Practical Support - We provide English lessons, school supplies, art supplies, clothes, food, Christmas and birthday gifts and other individual needs.
My wife Fabi and I just returned from a month-long trip to southern Brazil. It’s all too common in the Vila, kids without hope or vision and suffering in poverty are tempted to drop out of school and turn to a life of crime. Lack of food, safety and opportunity breed fear, frustration and generational desperation… and we want to help.
This is why The Way Global is so important. Every Saturday at 1:30pm, kids come, bibles in hand, to study God’s word and learn about the hope we have in Jesus Christ. For almost 4 years, we’ve been meeting in the Vila, teaching about God’s love and His plan of salvation. Kids memorize scripture, study their bibles and discuss what it means to follow Jesus. After bible study, play games, eat good food and then start the guitar lesson. The Way is a safe place where kids enjoy Christ centered fellowship and find hope for the future.
The Way Global is growing. We need your help to purchase new bibles, journals, English resources, guitars, a bus to transport kids to the bible study and church, and eventually, a bigger meeting space. Pray about your part in this. We would love to answer any questions. Some plant seeds, others water, but God gives the increase. We can all work together to share the good news of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
