About us

The Way began in 2023. We invited about 60 kids from a local after school program, in a small Vila in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to attend a Zoom bible study. Our first meeting was 5 young people. Almost four years later, about 21 kids are part of the group, studying God's word, memorizing Scripture, doing life together and learning to be followers of Jesus.

Every Saturday we meet on Zoom, led by founders Nathan and Fabiana Krey, from Englewood, FL (USA). The bible study is translated from English to Brazilian Portuguese in real time by Fabi. Several local volunteers help set up meetings, transport kids, lead games and make lunch. We just signed a lease on a bigger location in the Vila, that will double our capacity. The kids are excited to help us paint the new tables and chairs, and hang their art work on the walls.

The Way Global is honored to serve the youth of Porto Alegre. Our kids are not the future of the church, they are the church right now, a light in the darkness, in their schools, to their neighbors in the Vila. They are learning about God's love, studying and memorizing scripture, believing in Jesus, following Jesus and inviting their friends to the bible study.

The Way Global is growing. We need your help to purchase new bibles, journals, English resources, guitars, a 15 passenger bus to transport kids to the bible study and church. Our goal is to buy the space we just rented for about $27k USD. In the future our vision is to buy about 10 acres and build a youth retreat, about 90 minutes from the city. Pray about your part in this. We would love to answer any questions. Some plant seeds, others water, but God gives the increase. We can all work together to share the good news of Jesus to the ends of the earth.

Please pray daily with us for this ministry. Nate and Fabi would like to work full time at The Way with your support and prayers! Will you help The Way Global reach more young people with the good news of Jesus in this small Vila in Southern Brazil?
